The country located in Central America has counted 112 volcanoes. Some are presenting primary activity with the craters releasing pressure. Another volcanoes have secondary activity in the base of the mountain.

The Arenal Volcano

Arenal has been visited for decades. Tourists enjoy its formation and before 2010 the lava rock eruptions. Aldo there are a good number of hotsping resorts around the volcano.

The Irazu Volcano

A volcano with access all the way to the craters. The Irazu is the tallest volcano in the country. Once up there the craters Playa Hermosa, Diego de la HAYA ando Irazu can be visited. The thin air due to the elevation 3433 meters above the sea level and low temperatures will make this visit more adventurous.

Rincon de la Vieja

The name comes after a rural legend. The volcano has been very active with freatic eruptions on this passed months. Trails on the slope of this volcano show what the secondary activity on an active volcano can be. The mud pots and steam vents are part of the attractions when you visit the National Park.
